Some of the best players in amateur football have been found during tryouts. Each team hosts tryouts in their local markets attempting to find those diamonds in the rough who just need an opportunity.

The GEFA prides itself on being an opportunity league, and the first layer of those opportunities are local tryouts. Tryouts typically consist of combine-type testing, along with individual position-specific drills and even some group offensive vs. defense work.

Each team is responsible for its own local tryouts, so if you are interested in learning more about when and where tryouts will be held, contact the individual teams. Tryouts are traditionally held in the fall and winter leading up to the GEFA season. Most teams include tryout information on their websites and social media platforms, so be sure to check there for specific tryout information.
